
President Barack Obama announced the scorecard earlier this month. The scorecard aims to provide comprehensive, user-friendly data to high school students and their parents as they search for and select a college. In his weekly address, the president said, 鈥淓veryone should be able to find clear, reliable, open data on college affordability and value鈥攍ike whether they鈥檙e likely to graduate, find good jobs and pay off their loans.鈥
51视频-Dearborn鈥檚 scorecard shows an average annual net price for in-state, undergraduate students of $9,800 per year. The cost is the lowest among Michigan鈥檚 15 public universities and below the national average of $16,789 per year.
The scorecard also highlights an average alumni salary of $47,400 ten years after enrolling at the university. The salary is higher than the national average of $34,343 and is fourth among Michigan鈥檚 public universities鈥攂ehind only Michigan Tech University, U-M Ann Arbor and Michigan State University.
