US-Government-Funded Opportunities

• : “The Fulbright-Hays Program awards grants to individual U.S. K-14 pre-teachers, teachers and administrators, pre-doctoral students and postdoctoral faculty, as well as to U.S. institutions and organizations. The Program supports research and training efforts overseas, which focus on non-Western foreign languages and area studies. The Fulbright-Hays Program is funded by a Congressional appropriation to the U.S. Department of Education.”
• : “The U.S. Department of State’s IDEAS Program 2025 IDEAS grant competition assists U.S. colleges and universities in creating and/or expanding their study abroad programming in support of U.S. foreign policy goals. U.S. colleges and universities are invited to submit applications for projects to create and/or expand outbound study abroad programs and/or resources that align with U.S. foreign policy goals.”
• : “The IRES program supports international research and education opportunities for U.S. students. It aims to provide meaningful international research experiences to students at different stages of their academic careers with the goal of enhancing their global outlook and competency in STEM fields.”
• : The MRI program funds the acquisition or development of major multi-user research instruments that are critical to advancing research and education in science and engineering.

• : The NRT program supports the development and implementation of effective training models in high-priority interdisciplinary research areas.

Foundation-Funded Grants

• : “The Conservation, Food and Health Foundation seeks to protect the environment, improve food production, and promote public health in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Middle East.”
• : Offers grants to educational institutions aiming to promote social justice worldwide. This can include global learning initiatives.
• : Supports education and knowledge-enhancing projects, including global digital learning resources and international collaborations.
• : Focuses on improving equity in education which includes global learning and digital infrastructure initiatives.
• : These grants often support educational reform and initiatives that promote open, inclusive societies worldwide.
• : Often supports initiatives in the arts, humanities, and higher education, with potential interests in global learning and infrastructure development.

University of Michigan Grants

• : “The IHP is committed to building a project that covers the whole university and engages deeply and meaningfully across and beyond our campuses.”

International Organization Funding

• : If there is a partnership with European institutions, Erasmus+ provides funding for educational exchange, collaboration, and infrastructure projects.
