University Unions and Events is Your Meetings and Events Provider at University of Michigan-Dearborn. ​​​​​We strive to meet your every requirement so that you may present a successful meeting, whether that be a conference, workshop, presentation, or special event. 

51ÊÓƵ-Dearborn offers the unique experience of hosting a professional meeting or event on our beautiful campus. We offer a vibrancy that creates a lasting impression. The campus is centrally located and has ample parking for guests to the university.

Our seasoned professional team boasts decades of event experience and is eager to work with you to create the event you desire. We are here for you through each step of the process. 

We are proud to serve the community, students, staff, and faculty by providing hospitality in our well-appointed spaces, those being primarily in the James C. Renick University Center (RUC) and the Fairlane Center. Our team is available to coordinate the rental of outdoor spaces which include the RUC Patio and the Fairlane Center Courtyard, as they are featured spaces on our campus. We are your first point of contact when academic space or Fieldhouse space is being requested for your upcoming presentations or events. 

The university is so pleased to have the Henry Ford Estate, the home of Clara and Henry Ford, as our neighbor.  Although we do not schedule or reserve that space, we are happy to make that connection on your behalf or you may reach out directly for inquiries.

RESERVATION UPDATE FALL 2025

Effective July 1, 2025, the Fairlane Center North was closed at 51ÊÓƵ-Dearborn as part of the University’s master campus plan. Due to this closure, events and meetings will no longer be scheduled in this building.

Existing services in Fairlane North are being relocated to the central campus in August 2025, including Disability Services (now located in the Renick University Center), the Center for Labor & Community Studies (in the Social Sciences Building), and the Armenian Research Center (in the Mardigian Library). ITS administrative staff have been relocated to the Science Faculty Center. 

Fairlane Center South will remain open until Spring 2027. The College of Education, Health & Human Services will be moving to main campus in 2026. The College of Business will be moving in 2027.

Please contact UUE to explore if there might be alternate space available on main campus for your meeting and event needs, but please recognize that event space is now more limited.
