Meeting space and two colleges at the Fairlane Center.

Meeting space at the Fairlane Center at 19000 Hubbard Drive, adjacent to 51ÊÓƵ-Dearborn’s main campus on Evergreen, offers nearly 22,000 square feet of meeting, conference and event rental space. With 3 meeting rooms, from the 1,200 sq. ft. classrooms to a 3,100 banquet room and many rooms in-between. Many of the rooms offer configurable space for you to host your next meeting or special event. The Fairlane Center is centrally located in Wayne County and in metro-Detroit offering plenty of free visitor parking on surface lots near the building’s north entrance. 

The complex is comprised of two buildings, Fairlane Center North and South, adjoined through a hallway, allowing for inside travel as event rooms are situated in both locations.

Both the College of Business and the College of Education Health and Human Services, as well as academic classrooms, are housed at Fairlane Center throughout the north and south buildings. Rental meeting rooms, study lounges, numerous quiet study rooms, and the Picasso Deli also reside here, creating a distinct synergy of academia and social gathering space.

FALL 2025 UPDATE

Effective July 1, 2025, the Fairlane Center North was closed at 51ÊÓƵ-Dearborn as part of the University’s master campus plan. Due to this closure, events and meetings will no longer be scheduled in this building.

Existing services in Fairlane North are being relocated to the central campus in August 2025, including Disability Services (now located in the Renick University Center), the Center for Labor & Community Studies (in the Social Sciences Building), and the Armenian Research Center (in the Mardigian Library). ITS administrative staff have been relocated to the Science Faculty Center. 

Fairlane Center South will remain open until Spring 2027. The College of Education, Health & Human Services will be moving to main campus in 2026. The College of Business will be moving in 2027.

Please contact UUE to explore if there might be alternate space available on main campus for your meeting and event needs, but please recognize that event space is now more limited.
